A. What did you learn (specifically)?

1. To allow ourselves an opportunity to connect to a moment
2. Worked to have an impulse to help us get into a scene
3. To try and put ourselves there

Exercise Steps---->

a. Take 3 deep breaths with eyes closed to relax
b. Jon gave us an impulse (don't craft the story in your head)
c. Wait for the story to reveal itself
d. The story has to be a direct reflection of the stimuli you see in your head as it develops real time in your imagination
e. Jon calls on a singular person
f. That person then tells their story in 3rd person for 5 minutes
g. Be in that very specific time and work on staying in that specific time

B. How did the learning affect me?

The learning again helped me to utilize all of my senses to get in the moment and stay there instead of jumping ahead crafting a story from my own mind instead of allowing it to happen. I also learned to be mindful of my cognitive mind and imaginative mind and how one is more rich than the other and can be the difference between the audience experiencing it or just listening to a story.

C. Did Jon say anything quotable?

"The mind must lead the voice!"

"In OUR business, that's what we call creative flow."

"Impulse is what triggers imagination!"
