Excitations----just under the deadline
Thu Jun 18, 2020 5:45 pm
Ugh, getting the post in at the literal deadline before the class starts.
Excited to be back in the trenches again with Jon at the helm and both some familiar and some new faces on the screen. After some tastes of streaming in other classes...the time for the deeper dive is here!!
A lot of time spent in the lecture, covering the handouts Jon sent via Jessy. Some notes outside of those papers:
1. Involuntary Imaging is a reaction to create mental peace through the images that jump into the mind. That rung so true when Jon stated and was a nice deeper context to what was on the Memory Streaming handout
2. Excited to try the capturing dreams process outlined in the second handout...but haven't worked it into my routine yet the past two nights since the last class. But as they sing in West Side Story....Tonight...Tonight...it all begins tonight.
Practicum:
Seeing Joyce dive in first was exciting to watch. As the viewer, seeing her set up the building blocks of the scene led to a powerful connection during the harvest section. During the final moments where we harvested the class, it made it clear to many/all of us the importance of these steps and to not rush through the process.
Short post, but excited for class in mere moments from now.
