Improvisation:
How to deal with objects realistically (and do not “indicate”)
INSTANTLY establish
WHERE you are, Is it cold? Is it raining? Indoors or out?
WHO you are,
WHAT “it “ is. or What is your relationship with others

Homework Observe a single person. Watch where they are in a state of repose: Nose to toes. Observe something simple that they are doing. Film it on a phone, then emulate them physically with precision. You can find someone on YouTube. Discover when you get them down really well. You will be that person. Imitate the talk, their rhythm and tempo.
Re voice: Be as specific as possible, but that’s covered more in the Persona class. However, try.

“Be them for 30 to 40 seconds. Continue to act like him/her in the discussion afterward in the improv that follows.

Then we’ll improv in that persona. Jon will give us scenarios. We develop a sense of the place. Know where, how, what and who.
Establish your place, if an object is present, handle it realistically, and know your relationships with other characters.

Create sensory beds, I could benefit by knowing more about what this entails.

Re the assignment. Work on the persona for 5 sec at a time. Be really accurate. Use the same environment

Note sound smell how you feel outside and how you feel inside. Relax and let it come to you.

Give up individual wants and desires.

If another person is put into the situation, use the sense of them. There may be a slight change bringing them into it.
