Words are not the actor's sole tool. In fact, they can act as a crutch or wall instead of the act of acting. No word can be used without meaning.
In auditions, we cannot just spout out words. They have to be spontaneously generated by an impulse from within the character and in response
to changes in the scene. e.g. something another character says or does or doesn't say or doesn't do. There's no such thing as "nothing."
Words should be random to some extent because life is random.

Discussion: jibberish: unintelligible sounds that represent words We practiced: "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America."
using non-words, trying to maintain the rhythm and tempo of our normal recitation of this.

Another assignment was to act out an animal in a stressful situation.

We described each others' facial features using jibberish.

Tips from Jon:
Make use of as many sounds as possible.
Exaggerate mouth movement
Vary tone
Articulate (i.e. Chew)the words
Keep one's normal speed of speech
Let it go and have fun.
