A. What did you learn (specifically)?

1. Continued sensory work
2. Improvisation is built on several principles (Who you are; What you're doing; Where you are; When you are)
3. Of all of your senses, the one most controlled is your eyes
4. The formula is just what triggers imagery
5. In this work, we have to stop creating a narrative to go along with the exercise because memories can start to take over. (DON'T LET IT MOVE; ONLY LITTLE MOVEMENT IS OKAY)
6.We have to be able to isolate our own experience and remain in the moment (STOMP IT DOWN)

Exercise Steps --->
a) Take 3 deep breaths to relax
b) Sit back in a comfortable position
c) Close Eyes and see nothing
d) Jon then prompts us with words/phrases to sense
e) take in the senses as they come to you naturally
f) take note of what you hear, smell, feel, taste, and see

B. How did the learning affect me?

The learning helped allow me to focus on the first sense that came forward and allowed it to evolve which helped with a smoother transition into the desired sense in the exercise.

C. Did Jon say anything quotable?

"Get off the tit of scenes because it's two dimensional!"

"Eyes can't see anything; they make impressions; they don't WORK!:

HOMEWORK

a) Observe a single person in an interview for 30-40 seconds taking note of them being themselves and not acting.

b) Try working a different environment than the previous week

Yes, those eyes are collaborative with the cognitive mind. We do a work around by sensing first and then leading the eyes into an already realized space.
