A. What did you learn (specifically)?

1. Displayed homework assignment
2. Worked with a partner in an improv scene to extend our homework character

Exercise Steps --->
a) Take 3 deep breaths to relax
b) Establish where you are (if applicable, the atmosphere)
c) Establish the relationship with your partner without saying who it is
d) Allow the above elements to reveal themselves naturally

B. How did the learning affect me?

The learning helped me better understand that relaxing into my character instead of consciously trying to perfect it makes it come across more authentically and provides greater room to navigate within the scene.

C. Did Jon say anything quotable?

"You must get out of your own way and live in the work!"

HOMEWORK

a) Observe a single person in an interview for 30-40 seconds taking note of them being themselves and not acting.

b) Try working a different environment than the previous week[/b]

Oh crap, I don't remember hearing that homework part about the new environment, but I have been in a new house and backyard, figuring I needed to be taking advantage of new environments. So, I guess it's sinking in. Been sitting in this gazebo.

Madelaine,

it wasn't a new homework assignment. It was just a continuation of sensory work to get familiar with different environments

Thank you so much for repeating and defining the work for others!
