7/20 class

Monday was an interesting and intense class where we got a bit of real talk from Jon regarding our responsibilities and expectations. I had misunderstood the assignment and learned the totally wrong thing (a character's monologue instead of a person just existing), so I had to do some work on that before today to get myself ready. We also got to see some of the people who did prepare properly work in an improv as their person, but with a new direction. This really highlighted how important it is to know the essence of the character and I'm hoping that I'm able to achieve that tonight. One tip Jon gave us was that to get a character quickly, sometimes it helps to find a simple phrase they say and get it perfectly.

Rededicate to listening and hearing. Remember to integrate. You will get past this.
